NEW FOR 2012: - New trim lines - Available power liftgate - T6 adds standard décor steering wheel, glossy side window décor, and tinted rear windows - R-Design receives power increase - Available Dynamic package on T6 adds 4C Chassis, speed-sensitive steering, and active bending bi-xenon headlamps For 2012, the Volvo XC60 receives several new trim lines, for a total of ten trim levels between the two engines. The T6 adds new features, and a power liftgate is added to the upper-line models. The R-Design, available only with the T6 engine, receives a power increase. The XC60 comes with a choice of two engines: a 3.2-litre inline six-cylinder in the 3.2 models, and a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder in the T6 and T6 R-Design. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission. The 3.2 comes in front-wheel drive but can be optioned to all-wheel drive, while the T6 is all-wheel drive only. The Haldex all-wheel system is front-wheel biased, but will transfer power to the rear wheels when necessary. Trim levels are the 3.2, 3.2 Premier, 3.2 Premier Plus, 3.2 Platinum, T6, T6 Premier Plus, T6 Platinum, R-Design, R-Design Premier Plus, and R-Design Platinum. Features on the 3.2 include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, City Safety, front and rear fog lights, keyless entry, security system, heated T-Tec fabric seats with eight-way power driver’s adjustment and memory, 40/20/40 flat-folding rear seat, illuminated locking glovebox, auto-dimming rearview mirror, keyless entry, cruise control, front and rear skid plates, illuminated vanity mirrors, outside temperature gauge, heated mirrors, front auto up/down windows, variable intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, CD/MP3/DVD video stereo with auxiliary input and iPod interface, Volvo Sensus infotainment interface with seven-inch touch-screen, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, brushed aluminum interior accents, locking cargo floor storage compartment, and black roof rails and side window trim. The 3.2 Premier adds eight-way power passenger seat, leather upholstery, dark-tinted rear windows, steering wheel with aluminum accents, panoramic sunroof, and silver roof rails and side window trim. The 3.2 Premier Plus adds garage door opener, Personal Car Communicator with keyless drive, compass, front and rear park assist, power-folding rear head restraints, cargo cover, grocery bag cover and power tailgate. The 3.2 Platinum adds rearview camera, navigation system and premium sound system. The T6 is equipped similarly to the 3.2 Premier but adds 18-inch alloy wheels and Sirius satellite radio. The T6 Premier Plus and Platinum models are equipped similarly to the 3.2 Premier Plus and Platinum models. The R-Design builds on the T6 and adds 20-inch alloy wheels, active bi-xenon headlamps, sport seats with embossed leather, R-Design steering wheel and aluminum interior inlays, R-Design instrumentation, sport pedals, and R-Design grille and exterior styling. The R-Design Premier Plus adds garage door opener, Personal Car Communicator with keyless drive, compass, front and rear park assist, power-folding rear head restraints, power tailgate, cargo cover and grocery bag holder. The R-Design Platinum adds rearview camera, navigation system and premium sound system.
