History/Overview
The Volvo V60 Cross Country is a compact crossover based on the V60 station wagon. This second-generation model arrived in 2019, but Volvo has been selling wagons dressed up as crossovers since the turn of the millennium, first with the V70 XC and then the XC70.

For 2021, Volvo adds blind spot monitoring to the V60 Cross Country’s list of standard features.
Available Trims
Volvo offers the V60 Cross Country in a single T5 trim powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Features
All V60 Cross Country models start with a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic A/C, heated/power-adjustable front seats with lumbar, a hands-free electric tailgate, fog lights, power-folding side mirrors, 18-inch wheels, a digital gauge display and smartphone integration.
On the safety front, the V6 Cross Country comes with lane keeping assist, oncoming lane mitigation, road sign information, blind spot monitor with steering assist, rear cross traffic alert with automatic braking, and rear park assist.
Key Options
A climate package adds heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated front and rear wiper blades.
The premium option pack brings an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, front park assist, navigation, an integrated garage door remote, and power-folding rear outboard headrests.
Finally, a lounge option adds front passenger seat memory, an extendable driver’s seat cushion, four-zone A/C, four-way front-seat lumbar, side scuff plates, and contrasting dashboard stitching.
You can also kit out your V60 Cross Country with a Polestar Engineered powertrain, and your choice of Harman Kardon and Bowers & Wilkins sound systems as standalone options.

Issue:
On a small number of vehicles, the steering gear may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, a loose screw could fall into the steering gearbox and cause the steering wheel to lock up while driving.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the steering gear.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the top-view camera to display instead of the rearview camera image when you are reversing. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when reversing.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 360-degree park assist camera.
Safety Risk:
A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Volvo will notify owners in writing and send a wireless over-the-air update to each vehicle. If the update cannot be completed successfully, or for vehicles without over-the-air (OTA) update capability, Volvo will instruct you to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer.
