For 2010, the Volkswagen New Beetle and New Beetle Convertible drop to a single Comfortline trim level, which was previously the mid-range trim. The Comfortline now includes a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, and Sirius satellite radio.
Both the coupe and convertible use a 2.5-litre inline five-cylinder engine, with five-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic with manual shift mode.
Features include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, combined head and side airbags, variable intermittent wipers, heated washer nozzles, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, anti-theft alarm, fog lights, cruise control, front floor mats, power locks with keyless entry, illuminated vanity mirrors, flower vase, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, heated "leatherette" seats, exterior temperature display, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, folding rear seat, and power windows with auto up/down.
The Coupe includes a power sunroof, while the Convertible adds a semi-automatic soft roof.
