History/Overview
Brand new for 2021, the Volkswagen ID.4 is the brand’s first purpose-built electric vehicle. It’s a compact crossover that follows on the e-Golf, the electric compact hatchback that established VW in the EV space.
Available Trims
Volkswagen offers the ID.4 in Pro and AWD Pro trim levels. The entry-level Pro model powers the rear wheels, while AWD Pro adds a second electric motor for the front wheels.

Exterior features include 19-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, heated washer nozzles, lighted door handles, LED headlights and taillights, black roof rails, passive keyless entry, and a heated windshield.
Inside, you get satellite radio, wireless smartphone charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, a digital gauge cluster, a seven-speaker stereo, navigation in a 10.0-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, a heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel, split-folding rear seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient interior lighting, and cloth upholstery.
The ID.4’s standard safety kit comprises front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a road sign display, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, tire pressure monitoring, lane keeping assist with traffic jam and emergency assist, and forward collision detection with automatic braking.
