History/Overview
The Sienna is Toyota’s long-running minivan model, which, through four generations, has been a popular option for families seeking practical transportation. This is the third year for the Sienna’s current iteration, which arrived in 2021 with the model’s first hybrid powertrain. Enhancing the Sienna’s appeal is Toyota’s in-house mobility modification program, which will upfit the van with items like wheelchair ramps and accessible seating.

This year, Toyota celebrates a quarter-century of Sienna production with a 25th Anniversary Special Edition package.
Available Trims
Toyota offers the Sienna in LE, XLE, and XSE trim levels. Hybrid power is standard, provided by a 2.5L four-cylinder gas engine and a front electric motor in base form, and with a second rear electric motor in AWD models.
Standard Features
LE trim comes with push-button start, dual power sliding doors, six-speaker audio, a 9.0-inch touchscreen, heated front seats/steering wheel, a power driver’s seat, three-zone A/C, heated side mirrors, a front wiper de-icer, LED headlights/taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
LE trim’s standard safety kit includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, radar cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and lane departure alert with steering assist.
XLE adds passive keyless entry, hands-free sliding doors and tailgate, eight-speaker audio, a power passenger seat, four-zone A/C, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, LED daytime running lights, upgraded headlights/taillights, and a sunroof.
XSE models get an integrated garage remote, satellite radio, a driver PA system, sport suspension, second-row captain’s chairs, unique grille and front/rear fascia, and 20-inch wheels.
Key Options
XSE trim offers a tech package of LED fog lights, rear cross-traffic braking, a digital rearview mirror, JBL audio, a rear-seat entertainment system, wireless phone charging, and a 120-volt power outlet.
The 25th Anniversary Edition also builds on XSE trim, with unique wheels, leather upholstery with silver stitching, 12-speaker audio, wireless charging, heated/ventilated front seats, power steering wheel adjustments, power-folding reverse-tilt mirrors, second-row Ottoman seating, LED fog lights, and a 120-volt power outlet.
Fuel Economy
Toyota’s fuel consumption estimates are 6.6/6.5 L/100 km (city/highway) for front-wheel drive models, and 6.8/6.6 L/100 km for vans with AWD.
Competition
With the Sienna, Toyota competes against the Kia Carnival, Chrysler Grand Caravan, Chrysler Pacifica, and Honda Odyssey; however, the Sienna’s most direct competition comes from the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.
