The Sequoia is a full-size SUV, built on a truck platform to do truck things, like tow and tangle with muddy, rutted roads. Large trucks like this are easy to like for their comfort and good visibility on the road. Do your research to make sure you really need this large a vehicle; the big engine and heavy curb weight make the Sequoia expensive to run as a daily driver. Toyota hasn't made many significant changes to this beast in a few years, leading us to wonder if its maker is questioning the Sequoia's relevance, at least within the Toyota lineup.
Based on the Toyota Tundra pickup, the Sequoia uses a 5.7L V8 mated to a six-speed automatic. All models use a part-time four-wheel drive system and feature three rows of seats. Trims are SR5, Limited, and Platinum. The 4.6L V8 is no longer an option.
