The five-speed manual transmission is replaced with a six-speed unit, while the four-speed automatic supersedes to a continuously-variable transmission (CVT). A new Aero trim on the hatchback, in front-wheel drive and with CVT only, adds a body package and fog lights, upgraded speaker system, 17-inch alloy wheels, and electronic stability control. There are numerous other changes to the features list, including a new grille, instrument cluster, height-adjustable driver’s seat, upholstery and an auxiliary input jack, as well as new wheels, audio controls, chrome accents and the availability of electronic stability control on various trim lines.
