Subaru has made no changes to the BRZ for 2023.
Available Trims
The BRZ comes in base and Sport-tech trim levels, each of which starts with a six-speed manual transmission that you can option to a six-speed automatic. Powering all BRZ models is a 2.4L four-cylinder engine.
Standard Features
The base BRZ is equipped with LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio, dual-zone A/C, passive keyless entry, and a digital gauge display. Automatic cars also get Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist suite of automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and forward collision mitigation.
Sport-tech models add adaptive headlights, 18-inch wheels, an eight-speaker stereo, Starlink connected services, heated seats, leather/Ultrasuede upholstery, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change assist. Here, the EyeSight-equipped automatic car gains reverse collision avoidance braking.

Competition
The BRZ is a mechanical twin to the Toyota 86, which makes the pair natural competitors. Other cars to consider are the Mazda MX-5, the Mini Cooper S, Hyundai Veloster N, Ford Mustang EcoBoost, and Chevrolet Camaro.
