NEW FOR 2011:
- ST trim line is now fleet-only
For 2011, the Dodge Dakota is unchanged, except that the base-level ST Extended Cab is now available only for fleet sales.
The Dakota comes as an Extended or Crew Cab, with a choice of two engines: a 3.7-litre V6 with four-speed automatic, and 4.7-litre flexible-fuel V8 with five-speed automatic. Both are available in two- or four-wheel drive.
Extended Cab models come in SXT trim, while Crew Cabs come in SXT or SLT trim.
Features on the SXT include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, fog lamps, deep-tint rear windows, dual-position tailgate, variable intermittent wipers, four-pin trailer harness, cargo lamp, power mirrors, power locks with keyless entry, floor mats, cruise control, power windows, carpeted floor, floor console, six-DVD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, Stain Repel fabric seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, passenger sun visor mirror, and tire pressure monitoring system.
The SLT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, under-rail box liner, bright rear fascia, hood insulation, bright body side mouldings and grille accents, utility box rails, sliding rear window, overhead console, garage door opener, illuminated entry, heated leather seats, six-way power driver’s seat, Sirius satellite radio, driver’s sun visor mirror, and security alarm.
