Issue: On certain pickup and chassis-cab trucks, the owner's manual and service manual list the wrong torque specification for the wheel nuts. As a result, some trucks may have had the lug nuts over-tightened during servicing. This can damage the wheel studs and, over time, they could break. If this happens, a wheel could separate from the truck. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with dual rear wheels and flanged lug nuts. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Action: FCA Canada will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect and replace the wheel studs, as necessary. They will also provide an update for the torque specification listed in the owner's manual.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the rearview camera image may be displayed even after the transmission is shifted out of reverse. This could cause a possible distraction for the driver. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to turn off within 10 seconds after shifting from reverse gear. Safety Risk: A driver that is distracted could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the radio software.

Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a column shifter, the transmission gear indicator (P R N D) displays only the selected gear instead of displaying all positions and highlighting the selected gear. Canadian regulations require the transmission gear indicator to display all gear positions. Safety Risk: If the transmission shift sequence is not displayed correctly, a user may be confused about shifting the transmission. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to update the instrument cluster software.

Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine, the end fitting on the engine fuel lines may have been formed incorrectly. This could result in a fuel leak. Safety Risk: A fuel leak in the engine compartment could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the fuel lines. The fuel lines will be replaced if necessary.

Issue: On certain trucks, the daytime running lights do not turn on due to a software issue. Canadian regulations require vehicles to have working daytime running lights. Note: This issue only affects trucks equipped with the Tradesman trim package, blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection, and LED headlights. Safety Risk: Having no daytime running lights could make the truck less visible to other drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to update the central body controller with new software.
