Ram's mainstream 1500 pickup moves into 2015 with no major changes. Engine choices include a Pentastar V6 (305 hp/269 lb-ft of torque), EcoDiesel 3.0L diesel V6 (240 hp/420 lb-ft), and the range-topping 5.7L Hemi V8 (395 hp/410 lb-ft). Both V6 engines come with an eight-speed automatic; Hemi-powered models use either the eight-speed or a six-speed automatic. All powertrains can be had with rear- or all-wheel drive.
Trim lines include ST, SXT, SLT (all offered in regular, quad and crew cab body styles), Outdoorsman, Big Horn, Sport, Laramie (all available in quad and crew cab body styles), and Laramie Longhorn and Laramie Limited, both of which are offered in crew cab configuration only.
ST models come with a vinyl 40/20/40 split bench seat, air conditioning, front-seat centre armrest with three cupholders, cruise control, tilt steering, Uconnect 3.0 multimedia centre with USB port, 3.5-inch electronic vehicle information centre, 12-volt auxiliary outlets, six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with brake assist, automatic headlights, tire pressure monitoring, trailer sway control, coil spring suspension with heavy-duty shock absorbers, and trailer wiring harness. Quad and crew cab models add power door locks and power front windows, rear under-seat storage bins and power/heated/manual-folding side mirrors. Crew cab trucks also get rear in-floor storage.
SXT trim adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, cloth front bench seat, satellite radio, carpeted floor and floor mats, remote USB port, chrome grille and bumpers. Quad and crew cab models also include remote keyless entry.
SLT trucks include an overhead console, Uconnect 5.0 with five-inch screen and Bluetooth, premium door trim with map pocket, instrument panel colour keyed accents, temperature and compass displays, traveller and mini trip computers and body-colour upper fascia and chrome door handles. Quad and crew cab add a power sliding rear window.
Outdoorsman models add front and rear rubber floor mats, body colour grille, black painted bumpers, door handles and fender flares, and tow hooks and fog lights. 4x4 models get underbody/mechanical skid plates, Class IV hitch receiver, rear extra heavy-duty shock absorbers and anti-spin rear differential.
Big Horn trim adds 20-inch wheels, seven-inch configurable in-cluster display, overhead console with garage door opener, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, power-folding side mirrors, chrome grille, door handles and side steps, fog lamps and dual rear exhaust. 4x4 trucks get electronic on-demand transfer case.
Sport trucks add cloth bucket seats, unique 20-inch wheels, full-length floor console and LED interior lighting, power 10-way driver's seat with two-way lumbar, fold-flat rear load storage, Uconnect 8.4 multimedia centre with 8.4-inch touchscreen, 115-volt power outlet, monochromatic exterior, dual rear exhaust with bright tips, and premium projector headlights and LED taillights.
Laramie trim adds heated and ventilated leather seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, power six-way passenger seat, front- and rear-door accent lighting, driver memory function, heated steering wheel, amplified stereo, chrome grille and bumpers, bright silver metallic lower two-tone paint and fender flares, chrome door handles, chrome power-folding side mirrors, and backup camera.
In Larame Longhorn models, Ram installs premium leather seats, chrome wheels, white gold metallic two-tone lower paint, fender flares and fascias, premium instrument cluster and interior accents, heated rear seats, navigation, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, rear park assist, remote start, and spray-in bedliner.
Finally, Laramie Limited trucks include premium black leather seats, wheels with accent-painted chrome inserts, air suspension, luxury floor mats, wood-trimmed steering wheel, monotone exterior and bright side steps, body-colour front fascia and rear bumper, intelligent keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, and auto high-beam control.
