NEW FOR 2011:
- Redesigned model
- New full hybrid model
For 2011, the Porsche Cayenne has been redesigned into a new generation that’s more powerful but lighter than the model it replaces. As well, the line-up now includes a full hybrid.
The 2011 line-up consists of four models: the Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne S Hybrid, and Cayenne Turbo. The Cayenne uses a 3.6-litre V6; the Cayenne S uses a 4.8-litre V8; the Cayenne Turbo uses a twin-turbocharged 4.8-litre V8; and the Hybrid uses a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with electric motor and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery. The Hybrid can run on gasoline, electricity or a combination of the two. The Cayenne uses a six-speed manual transmission, which can be optioned to the eight-speed Tiptronic automatic used in all of the other models. All are all-wheel drive.
Features on the Cayenne include 18-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power heated partial-leather seats, sliding and reclining 60/40 rear seats, heated multifunction steering wheel, CD/MP3 stereo with touch screen and audio interface, cruise control, power windows, power mirrors, keyless entry, cargo cover, and power tailgate.
The Cayenne S adds memory seats, larger brakes with silver-painted calipers, and black front air intake trim.
The Turbo adds 19-inch wheels, air suspension, larger brakes with red calipers, 18-way power full leather seats, leather dash and door trim, navigation system, Bose sound system, unique front and rear styling, and quad exhaust pipes.
