History/Overview
The Porsche 911 hardly needs an introduction as one of the world’s best-known and most desirable GT cars. While its entry-level models are surprisingly comfortable cruisers that can be daily driven, the range also includes track-ready monsters with wild performance and wilder looks.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2022, Porsche has added a GTS trim level to the lineup. The 911 also receives Porsche's latest infotainment system, which supports Android Auto.
Available Trims
The 911 range comprises Carrera Coupe, Targa, and Cabriolet body styles. Rear- and all-wheel drive (denoted by a “4” in the name) are available, as are manual and dual-clutch automatic transmissions. Carrera, Carrera S, and GTS variants use a 3.0L turbo six-cylinder engine. GT3 gets a 4.0L naturally aspirated motor, and Turbo and Turbo S variants use a turbocharged 3.8L.
Standard Features
Carrera models come with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, partial leather upholstery, heated four-way power front seats, active suspension management, auto-dimming mirrors, LED headlights, and front/rear park assist. You also get passive keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, a garage door remote, two-zone A/C, a 10.9-inch touchscreen, part-digital gauge displays, a heated steering wheel, navigation, and an eight-speaker stereo.
GTS models get 20/21-inch wheels, race-tex upholstery, sport seats, larger brakes, sport suspension, and dynamic headlights.
GT3’s additions include leather/race-tex upholstery, adjustable suspension, rear-seat delete, and rear-wheel steering.
Finally, 911 Turbo models get full leather seats with 14-way adjustments, torque vectoring, and a 12-speaker stereo.
Key Options
A premium package adds dynamic headlights, a surround-sound stereo, surround-view cameras, lane change assist, ventilated seats, power-folding mirrors, and ambient lighting. You can also add remote park assist to this package.
You can also add upgraded seats as a stand-alone option.
Fuel Economy
Porsche’s fuel consumption estimates start at 12.8/9.4 L/100 km (city/highway) for Carrera S models with the seven-speed manual transmission. At the other end of the scale is the GT3, which is rated for 17.0/13.1 L/100 km.

Porsche 911 competitors include the Aston Martin Vantage, BMW M8, Mercedes-AMG GT, and Ferrari F8.
