MsKarinA LOVE THIS CAR December 15, 2017
Overall Score
I bought my Pontiac G8 used, it was a 1 owner car, I met the previous owner at the dealership when they traded the G8. As soon as I saw the car I knew I wanted it. I've had Camaro's, a Cadillac STS & a Corvette. I enjoy the domestic performance cars. The G8 doesn't disappoint. It's quick, responsive, fast with a stiff suspension, It's a beautiful car to drive. The interior is incredibly driver friendly. I have no complaints. To drive it is to love it.

On certain vehicles, the flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the vehicle structure at the front outboard seating positions can fatigue over time and could separate, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the tensioner assembly.

On certain vehicles, there is a risk that some drivers may bump the ignition key with their knee and unintentionally move the key from out of the "run" position. If this were to occur, engine power, power braking and power steering would be affected, which would unexpectedly increase steering and brake pedal effort, potentially increasing stopping distances and the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the "run" position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm of the crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will remove the key blade from the original flip key/transmitter assemblies provided with the vehicle, and will cut and fit the revised key blade and housing assembly, in which the blade has been indexed by 90 degrees to the original transmitter assembly. Important note: Until the correction is performed, drivers should adjust their seat and steering column to allow clearance between their knee and the ignition key.

On certain vehicles, when the front passenger seat is in the full forward position, the seat position sensor may cause a deployment delay between the first and second stages of the dual-stage front passenger airbag. Failure of the airbag to deploy as intended during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the Sensing and Diagnostic Module.

On certain vehicles, the brake pedal position switch may have been incorrectly programmed during vehicle assembly. As a result, the brake lamps may remain illuminated when the brake pedal is released. Failure of the brake lamps to operate as intended may result in the following road users being unaware of the driver's intentions, increasing the risk of a crash causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the brake position sensor.
