Nissan’s iconic Z sports car has been redesigned for its seventh-generation model. For the first time, the car’s name does not include a numerical designation, and is simply called the Z.
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the connectors for the right-hand pedestrian detection sensors may be reversed. As a result, the pop-up engine hood safety feature may not work correctly in certain crashes involving a pedestrian.
Safety Risk:
A pop-up engine hood that doesn't work correctly could increase the risk of injury.
Corrective Action:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the front bumper wiring harness.

On certain vehicles, the fasteners for the left-hand front bumper may not be tightened properly. As a result, the pop-up engine hood safety feature may not work correctly in a frontal crash involving a pedestrian.
Safety Risk:
A pop-up engine hood that doesn't work correctly in a frontal crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Corrective Action:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to tighten the fasteners on the left-hand front bumper.
