NEW FOR 2010:
- No changes
For 2010, the Nissan Xterra is unchanged.
Based on the F-Alpha platform that it shares with the Nissan Titan and Armada, the Xterra uses a 4.0-litre V6 engine. The S and Off-Road trim lines come with a six-speed manual transmission that can be optioned to a five-speed automatic; the SE uses the automatic exclusively. All models feature four-wheel drive with a switch-operated, two-speed transfer case.
Features on the S include 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, tubular roof rack with covered gear box, crossbars and air dam, tubular step rails, rear bumper steps, front tow hook, heated mirrors, privacy glass, tire pressure monitoring system, power windows with auto-down driver’s side, power locks with keyless entry, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, rear wiper, cargo net, cargo channel system with tie-downs, first-aid kit, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and CD stereo.
The Off-Road adds fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, fold-flat front passenger seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and wheel-mounted audio controls. Also unique to the Off-Road trim line are electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein off-road performance shock absorbers, roof-rack-mounted off-road lights, and skid plates, and it does not have tubular side rails.
The SE adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colour mirrors and door handles, satin chrome front grille and lower bumper, trip computer, and XM satellite radio.
