For 2013, Nissan has dropped the hatchback in favour of a sedan-only lineup. The only changes to the sedan have been in packaging, adding a new rear spoiler to CVT equipped models and more standard equipment to the SV and SL trims and SL Tech Package.
The Versa sedan uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine. It comes with a five-speed manual transmission in the S trim level, with a five-speed manual or optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) in the SV, and with the CVT in the SL.
Features on the S sedan include 15-inch steel wheels, black grille, black door handles, heated mirrors, trip computer, tilt steering column, intermittent rear washer/wiper, cloth seats with four-way manual driver’s adjustment, CD audio system with auxiliary input, and active front head restraints.
The SV sedan adds air conditioning, power locks with keyless entry, illuminated entry, chrome-accented grille, chrome door handles, cloth door trim, painted shift knob, electroluminescent gauges, trunk light, passenger seatback pocket, six-way manual driver’s seat adjustment with armrest, upgraded cloth trim, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and trunk lid trim.
The SL sedan adds 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, front map lights, passenger vanity mirrors, CD/MP3 stereo, iPod interface, Intelligent Key, remote key fob truck release, sunvisor extensions, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
