For 2009, the Nissan Titan pickup truck has changes to its list of standard and optional features.
All Titan models use a 5.6-litre V8 engine, shared with the Armada and Pathfinder, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The King Cab has two small rear-hinged doors that open 168 degrees, while the Crew Cab has four independently-opening doors.
In both Crew and King, trim lines are the XE in short wheelbase; SE in short and long wheelbase; and PRO-4X in short wheelbase. The top-line LE is short wheelbase in the King Cab, long wheelbase in the Crew Cab. In the King Cab, the XE is 4x2 only, the SE is 4x2 or 4x4, and the LE is 4x4 only; all Crew Cab models are 4x4 configuration.
Features on the XE include 18-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cloth 40/20/40 front bench seat, CD player, cruise control, and manual mirrors. The Crew Cab XE also includes power windows and power locks.
The SE adds leather-wrapped wheel, premium cloth bucket seats, eight-way power driver's seat, six-CD/MP3 stereo, power windows, power locks with keyless entry, heated power mirrors, colour-keyed fabric door trim, illuminated vanity mirror, and vehicle security system.
The PRO-4X adds locking differential, high-performance Rancho gas shocks, body-colour bumpers and grille, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, two-tone cloth seats, and WMA stereo capability.
The LE builds on the SE's features and add 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, heated leather seats, four-way power passenger seat, driver's side memory, six-CD Rockford Fosgate audio system, chrome mirrors, and power-adjustable pedals.
Available in two wheelbase lengths, the Titan is a practical and tough hauler, with a fully-boxed frame and strong engine, but it gets very luxurious at its higher end. Available options include navigation system, side and curtain airbags, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Prices drop slightly from the 2008 MSRP levels, but some features have been dropped as well.
