CHANGES FOR 2013: - Two new 'Special Edition' trims added in both FWD and AWD: S with Special Edition Package adds 16-inch alloy wheels, power moonroof, fog lights, Intelligent Key, privacy glass, tonneau cover, and SE badging. - SV FWD and AWD gets standard power seat w/ lumbar, automatic climate control, and automatic headlights. - SV AWD Premium Pack deleted, replaced by Premium + Tech. - SL AWD gets standard automatic headlights. The Rogue gets a couple of Special Edition models this year, one with front-wheel drive, and another with all-wheel drive. Both include $2,400 of content while adding a little more than half that amount to the bottom line, compared to the base model. Most other trims get new standard equipment, too. Going into its sixth model year, the Rogue is showing its age, at least in terms of size; vehicles it used to compete with are now notably larger than this. This is a likable vehicle, but the lack of a telescoping steering column makes it difficult to get comfortable behind the wheel. The Rogue uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with continuously variable transmission (CVT). Trim lines are the S, SV and SL. The S and SV come in front- or all-wheel drive, while the SL is strictly all-wheel drive. Features on the S FWD include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, splash guards, keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, auto-down driver’s window, tilt steering column, cruise control, trip computer, exterior temperature display, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD stereo with auxiliary input, iPod interface, rear sonar sensor, tire pressure monitoring system and anti-theft alarm. The S AWD adds roof rails and dual vanity mirrors. The SV FWD builds on the S FWD and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, privacy glass, polished stainless steel exhaust tip, backup monitor, dual vanity mirrors, cargo cover, heated seats, CD stereo with 4.3-inch colour display, USB port, power seat w/ lumbar, automatic climate control, and automatic headlights. The SV AWD is similarly equipped. The SL adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, automatic headlights, fog lights, power sunroof, trailer hitch pre-wiring, navigation system with Around View Monitor, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, auto up/down driver’s window, auto-dimming rearview mirror, illuminated vanity mirrors, dual-level console tray, luggage side hooks, cargo light, six-way power driver’s seat, leather upholstery, fold-flat front passenger seat, Bose CD/MP3 stereo, XM satellite radio, and eight Bose speakers.
