NEW FOR 2009:
- Power door locks with automatic locking
An all-new model in 2008, the Nissan Rogue returns unchanged for 2009, save for the addition of auto-locking power door locks.
The Rogue uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with CVT and is available in S or SL trim. Both come in either front- or all-wheel drive.
Features on the S include 16-inch wheels, air conditioning, tire pressure monitoring system, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD/MP3 stereo, cargo area light, power windows, keyless entry, cruise control, and vehicle security system. The AWD version includes roof rails.
The SL adds 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, roof rails, and heated seats.
Available options, depending on the model, include power-adjustable seat, power sunroof, leather upholstery, and premium stereo.
Well-balanced, comfortable and fun to drive, the Rogue is a good choice in the compact SUV segment. The SL includes wheel-mounted shifter paddles, which manually "shift" the CVT for a nimble, sporty feel. An optional fold-flat passenger seat opens the cargo area to make it almost as useful as a small pickup truck.
