Overview
The NV is Nissan’s range of commercial van models, which carry over into the 2021 model year with no changes.
Available Trims
The NV range begins with a compact model that comes in S and SV trim and is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The NV 3500 is a full-size, heavy-duty van that comes in SV and SL trims. SV uses a 4.0L V6 engine and a five-speed automatic, and SL gets a 5.6L V8 with a seven-speed.
Standard Features
The compact NV S cargo van comes with 15-inch steel wheels, cruise control, cloth/vinyl seating, a fold-down front passenger seat, split rear cargo doors, roof rack mounting points, telematics upfitting pre-wiring, Bluetooth, power door locks, air conditioning, power windows, and heated/power-adjustable side mirrors, smartphone integration, and tire pressure monitoring.
SV trim adds wheel covers, remote keyless entry, wall-mounted cargo-area tie-downs, backup sensors, and two 12-volt power outlets.
NV 3500 SV gets a CD player, navigation, rear air conditioning, and a power driver’s seat.
Finally, NV 3500 SL gains an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone A/C, and heated front seats.
Fuel Economy
Natural Resources Canada only requires fuel consumption estimates for the smaller NV models, as the full-size vans are considered true commercial vehicles. The compact NV cargo van’s ratings are 9.9/9.1 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
Nissan’s commercial van competition for the compact NV includes the Ram Promaster City, Ford’s Transit Connect, and the Mercedes-Benz Metris. The full-size NV 3500 goes up against the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the Ford Transit, Ram’s Promaster, the Chevrolet Express, and the GMC Savana.
