Great nippy car

1.6 SL AWD - AUTO

I had the AWD Juke. I loved it. It's only a 1.6L but the torque is nice and high so it's nice and primed for quick getaways. Very responsive handling. The AWD system, coupled with good winter tyres, is excellent. I live on a mountain in Quebec and it navigated our crazy winters with minimum effort. I also enjoyed the fact that the CVT auto gearbox and chain provided a friction when going down steep roads. There was no need to brake excessively because of this and I always felt in control on our crazy snowy roads.
Lots of space. Sometimes felt a little narrow for larger objects, like a bike etc.
My husband is 6'2 and had major issues with leg room when driving. And sometimes as a passenger too
Interior moulding around the handbrake is a bit bizarre. Like having a motorbike in the middle of the car.
I liked the slightly elevated position too. Although the hood design can be a bit obstructive for driving visibility.
All in all a good car and good choice for winter driving.

On certain vehicles, the fuel pressure sensor may not have been tightened properly when the corrective measure of recall 2012-074 was performed. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen over time, which could cause a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and retighten the fuel pressure sensor as necessary.

On certain vehicles, due to a manufacturing defect the start/stop button could stick inside of its housing. If this occurs, vibration could cause the electrical components inside the button to contact repeatedly in quick succession and initiate the emergency engine shut off procedure while the vehicle is in motion. This could result in increased steering and braking effort, a loss of motive power and would disable the supplemental restraint systems (SRS), increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair defective start/stop switch as necessary.

Should the pressure sensor loosen, fuel could leak past a gasket used in the connection between the sensor and the rail. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pressure sensor and tighten to specification. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2012-074. Vehicles that were repaired under the previous campaign are not affected because that remedy would have corrected the subject condition.

On certain vehicles, the rear seat latch strikers (which secure the seat backrest in the upright position) may have been manufactured incorrectly. As a result, the rear seat back strikers may deform during a frontal vehicle crash, which could increase the risk of injury to a rear seat occupant. On certain vehicles, a weld at the boost sensor bracket may fail, allowing the bracket to separate from the air inlet tube. If this occurred, the engine would enter fail-safe driving mode, resulting in reduced motive power in which the vehicle could still be driven for short distances. Continued operation could cause the engine to stall which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the air inlet tube assembly.
