What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
The 2023 Nissan Ariya is an all-new model.
Available Trims
Nissan offers the Ariya in Engage, Venture+, Evolve, Evolve+, Platinum+, and Premiere trim levels. Engage, Venture, and Evolve start out with front-wheel drive; Evolve can be optioned with AWD, and Platinum and Premiere come standard with it.
Standard Features
Engage starts with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights/taillights, power-folding side mirrors, passive keyless entry, dual-zone A/C, and an auto-dimming interior mirror. Also included are a power driver’s seat, heated front/rear seats/steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, a sliding centre console, six-speaker audio, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
The Ariya’s standard driver assist suite consists of intelligent cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, a driver alertness monitor, traffic sign recognition, forward collision mitigation, blind spot collision mitigation, lane departure warning/prevention, rear automatic braking, and rear cross traffic alert.
Venture builds on Engage with an extra 142 km of driving range, for a total of 490 km.
Evolve trim gains a panoramic roof, power tailgate, LED fog lights, wireless phone charging, rain-sensing wipers, a power passenger seat, a garage door remote, and a head-up display. Evolve+ also benefits from a driving range bonus, a cargo divider, chrome window trim, and 10-speaker audio.
Platinum+ brings a digital rearview mirror, hands-free tailgate, park assist, power steering wheel adjustments, and ventilated front seats.
Finally, Premiere adds Nappa leather upholstery.
Fuel Economy
As of this writing, Nissan has only published partial energy consumption estimates for the Ariya. They start at 2.2/2.5 Le/100 km (city/highway) for Engage, 2.1/2.5 Le/100 km for the Venture package, and 2.2/2.6 Le/100 km for Evolve+.
Competition
Among the Ariya’s competition is the Hyundai Ioniq5, the Kia EV6, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and the Volkswagen ID.4.
