Having been redesigned for 2010, the Nissan Altima undergoes only minor revisions for 2011. A rear-view camera is now added to select packages on the sedan and coupe models, and three new exterior colours are available.
The Altima sedan and coupe use a 2.5-litre four cylinder engine or 3.5-litre V6. On both models, the 2.5-litre uses a six-speed manual transmission, or optional CVT. On the sedan, the V6 comes solely with the CVT; on the coupe, it comes with six-speed manual or optional CVT. The Hybrid uses the 2.5-lite four-cylinder and CVT with hybrid electric system. It is a full hybrid and capable of running on its battery alone.
Features on the 2.5 S sedan include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, automatic headlamps, heated mirrors, front and rear splash guards, tire pressure monitoring system, Intelligent Key with pushbutton ignition, auto up/down driver’s window, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, speed-sensitive variable intermittent wipers, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD stereo with auxiliary input, and anti-theft alarm.
The 3.5 S adds heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, and heated cloth seats.
The 3.5 R SR adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, performance-tuned suspension, fog lights, power sunroof, auto up/down front windows, dual illuminated vanity mirrors, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.
Features on the 2.5 S coupe include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, automatic headlamps, heated mirrors, power sunroof, front and rear splash guards, tire pressure monitoring system, Intelligent Key with pushbutton start, auto up/down windows, cruise control, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, speed-sensitive variable intermittent wipers, heated cloth seats, eight-way power driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD stereo with auxiliary input, and anti-theft alarm.
The 3.5 SR coupe adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, larger stabilizer bars, xenon headlamps, fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity, garage door opener, rear-view monitor, auto-dimming rearview mirror, illuminated centre console, heated leather seats, wood tone trim, and premium Bose CD/MP3 stereo with USB connector and XM satellite radio.
