NEW FOR 2012: - All-new model For 2012, the all-electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV is a new model. The i-MiEV uses a 49-kW motor with a single-speed transmission and lithium-ion battery. Charging takes approximately six hours on 240-volt and 22.5 hours on 120-volt to 100 per cent capacity; with a DC quick charger, the battery can be charged to 80 per cent capacity in 30 minutes. The charging can be set remotely for time and climate control. On a full charge, the range is approximately 150 km, and the car has a top speed of approximately 130 km/h. Standard features include 15-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, three-way charging system, high-voltage cutoff system, battery warmer, acoustic vehicle alerting system for pedestrians, power windows, heated driver’s seat, fog lamps, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, CD/MP3 stereo, LED taillamps, heated mirrors, security alarm and 50/50 split-folding rear seats. The Premium adds 15-inch alloy wheels, upgraded seat upholstery, 40-GB hard disc drive navigation, premium audio with USB port, and Bluetooth connectivity.
