The MINI Cooper is available as Cooper Knightsbridge, Cooper, Cooper S, and John Cooper Works. The Cooper is also available as the Cooper Convertible, covered in a separate entry.
All use a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that is naturally-aspirated in the Cooper models and turbocharged in the S and JCW models, with six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the Cooper and Cooper Knightsbridge include 16-inch alloy wheels, airbags (front, front side, side curtain), four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, cornering brake control, runflat tires (Cooper only), chrome door handles, body colour mirror caps, chrome grille, black side air inlets, chrome tailgate handle, chrome interior door handles, leatherette upholstery, chrome finished exhaust, six-speed manual transmission, manual seat adjustment, automatic climate control (Cooper only), multi-function steering wheel with cruise control (Cooper only), leather-wrapped steering wheel, tilt/telescopic steering, heated mirrors and washer nozzles, onboard computer (Cooper only), one-touch up/down windows, push-button start, and auxiliary input.
Cooper S adds unique 16-inch wheels, honeycomb grille, rear roof spoiler, extended decor contents, dual exhaust, Sport mode button, white indicator lenses, sport seats, and stainless steel pedals.
John Cooper Works adds dynamic traction control with electronic differential locking control, John Cooper Works aero kit, chrome side air inlets, anthracite headliner, piano black interior trim, central exhaust outlet, and bi-xenon headlights.
