NEW FOR 2010: - New Mini 50 Camden and Mini 50 Mayfair editions - New Winter Edition models (limited availability) - Earl Grey package available on Clubman For 2010, the Mini is unchanged, except for two new trim packages to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary: the Mini 50 Camden and Mini 50 Mayfair. These are available on both the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S, but only for 2010. The Camden is $4,850 on the Mini Cooper, and $4,500 on the Mini Cooper S; the Mayfair adds $5,000 to either one. Mini will also offer special Winter Editions of the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper Clubman, but only for a limited time, made during the production months of October and November, 2009. These include an installed set of 15-inch Pirelli Winter 190 Snow Control tires, steel rims with hubcaps, heated seats, and a limited range of additional options. The regular Cooper five-spoke alloy wheels with all-season tires are provided separately. The Earl Grey package continues into 2010 and is now also available on the Clubman. The Mini is available as a coupe, in Cooper Classic, Cooper and Cooper S trim lines; as the Clubman, with three passenger doors and twin rear cargo doors, in Cooper and Cooper S trim lines; and as the convertible, in Cooper and Cooper S trim. All are also available as high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW) editions. All use a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that’s turbocharged in the S and JCW models, with six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission. The Cooper S convertible adds 17-inch alloy wheels, larger brake discs, rear Park Distance Control, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, hood-mounted air inlet, black grille, chrome fuel filler door, twin exhaust tips, white turn signal lenses, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated sport seats, and stainless steel foot rest. Features on the Cooper Clubman include 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, hill assist, heated mirrors, heated washer nozzles, rear washer/wiper, tire pressure warning system, keyless entry, front and rear fog lights, eight-way manually adjustable “leatherette” seats, multifunction tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, illuminated and cooled glove box, cargo cover, 50/50 split-folding rear seat, power windows, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, pre-wiring for Sirius satellite radio, trip computer, and on-board computer. The Mini 50 Camden includes 17-inch Silver Shield light alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlamps with black reflectors, heated black-and-white cloth-and-leather sport seats, white steering wheel stitching, silver interior trim, velour floor mats with white leather piping, Harman Kardon Hi-Fi sound system, “Mission Control” voice-message vehicle information, sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB port. The Mini 50 Mayfair adds 17-inch Stream Spoke light alloy wheels, “Toffy Lounge” heated leather sport seats, Toffy Colour Line interior, two-tone steering wheel, grille-mounted driving lights, 50th Birthday badge, Mayfair-specific mirror caps and sill plates, sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB port. Toffy hood stripes can be added as an option. The Earl Grey package includes 16-inch Bridge Spoke alloy wheels, black roof and mirror caps, Chrome Line interior, Earl Grey side stripes, sunroof, heated seats, and white indicator lights. The JCW models are similar to the Cooper S, Cooper S Convertible and Cooper S Clubman, but add 17-inch alloy wheels, aerodynamic body kit, sport suspension, anthracite roof liner, manual air conditioning, and Piano Black interior trim. An automatic transmission is not available.
