For 2010, the Sprinter full-size van is now sold under the Mercedes-Benz brand. The company has always produced the Sprinter, but up until now it has been sold in Canada under the Dodge brand. The new BlueTec diesel increases power over the previous model.
The Sprinter is available as a cargo van, passenger van and cab chassis, in standard, long and extra long lengths, standard or high-roof height, and three basic gross vehicle weight ratings, for a total of 15 basic models. All use a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine with five-speed automatic transmission.
The cargo van can be ordered with side windows and rear seats for six-passenger seating, while the passenger van seats up to 12 passengers.
Standard features on the passenger van include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, power windows, keyless entry, CD stereo, wide-angle mirrors, tire pressure monitoring system, tilt steering wheel, wide-angle mirrors, and hill start assist.
Available options include heated seats, twin passenger seat, flip-up passenger seat, multifunction steering wheel, Parktronic parking assist, backup camera, bi-xenon headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
