History/Overview
The Mercedes-Benz Vans Sprinter was the first of the modern European-style tall vans to make it to Canadian dealers. that happened back in 2001, and while it has been sold under a variety of nameplates including Freightliner and Dodge, it's the same Mercedes bones underneath. The van has just entered its third generation, combining Mercedes-Benz car technology in the cabin with commercial van bones.

Fuel economy

Sprinter cargo competes with the Ford Transit as well as the Ram ProMaster. It also has some competition from more conventional vans like the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana.
