NEW FOR 2014:
-All models come standard with Avantgarde Edition package
-Avantgarde Plus Edition package available as an upgrade
This marks the last year for the first-generation of Benz's compact GLK crossover, so the company is sending it off by loading it up with standard kit (raising prices significantly), and adding an sweeter set of features that can be added on top of that.
Engine choices remain a 2.1L turbodiesel making 200 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.5L gasoline V6 good for 302 hp and 276 lb-ft. Both come mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
The new standard features include backup camera, garage door opener, passive blind spot assist, panoramic sunroof, Comand online navigation, active bi-xenon headlights, and a power tailgate.
As before, the GLK250 BlueTEC 4MATIC also comes with electric power steering, all-wheel drive, auto dimming exterior and interior mirrors, colour instrument cluster display, power folding exterior mirrors, LED daytime running lights and tail lights, 19-inch five-spoke wheels, attention assist, and adaptive brake with hold function.
The GLK350 4MATIC adds interior sports package, AMG styling package, ECO Start/Stop function, and 20-inch five-twin spoke wheels.
