For 2013, the E-Class receives many of the changes as other Mercedes-Benz models, including a new colour scheme for instrument cluster and headunits, ECO driving monitor, and other small touches.
Five different E-Class sedan and wagon models are available: as E300 4Matic (sedan) with a 3.5-litre V6 (248 hp/251 lb-ft) and all-wheel drive; as E350 BlueTEC (sedan) with a 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 (210 hp/400 lb-ft) and rear-wheel drive; as E350 4MATIC (sedan/wagon) with a 3.5-litre V6 (302 hp/273 lb-ft) and all-wheel drive; as E550 4MATIC (sedan) with a 4.6-litre bi-turbo V8 (402 hp/443 lb-ft) and all-wheel drive; and as E63 (sedan/wagon) with a 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 (518 hp/516 lb-ft, or 550 hp/590 lb-ft with AMG Performance Package) and rear-wheel drive. All are equipped with seven-speed 7G-TRONIC transmissions, with the E63 getting an AMG SPEEDSHIFT seven-speed automatic.
Features on the E300 4MATIC sedan include ADAPTIVE BRAKE with HOLD function, hill start assist, DIRECT CONTROL suspension, STEER CONTROL, COMAND APS with DVD changer, 17-inch 5 twin-spoke wheels, active bi-xenon headlamps, automatic headlamp activation, LED daytime running lights, heated windshield washer system, adaptive highbeam assist, power adjustable heated mirrors with memory, LED tail lamps, 14-way power front seats with memory, power tilt/telescopic steering, 12-button multi-function steering wheel, heated front seats, steering wheel paddle shifters, automatic climate control, sunroof, ARTICO leather upholstery, velour floor mats, power windows with one-touch express up and down, auto-dimming mirrors (rearview and driver's side), integrated garage door opener, SmartKey remote with panic button, ATTENTION ASSIST, PRE-SAFE, crash responsive head restraints, airbags (front, front/rear seat side, side curatin, driver's knee, pelvic), ISOFIX anchors, anti-theft alarm system, and tire pressure loss warning system.
E350 4MATIC sedan adds satellite radio, 18-inch 5-spoke wheels, AMG styling package, heated steering wheel, ARTICO leather dashboard, leather upholstery, and PARKTRONIC with parking guidance.
E350 4MATIC wagon adds folding rear-facing 3rd row bench seat, EASY-PACK power trunk closer, and rearview camera; removes PARKTRONIC.
E350 BlueTEC sedan removes (from E350 4MATIC sedan) STEER CONTROL and all-wheel drive.
E550 4MATIC sedan adds (to E350 4MATIC sedan) AIRMATIC air suspension with adaptive damping system, COMAND APS with navigation, media interface, 18-inch AMG 5 twin-spoke wheels, THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control, and panoramic sunroof.
E63 AMG sedan adds AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, harman/kardon LOGIC7 surround sound system, 19-inch AMG 5 twin-spoke forged wheels, Nappa leather upholstery, rear window sunshade, passive blind spot assist, and passive lane keeping assist; removes all-wheel drive.
