Mercedes-Benz's entry-level model gets a couple of minor updates for 2016: all trims now come standard with keyless start, "dynamic select" drive mode selector and a manual front seat cushion depth adjustment.
The B-Class is available, once again, as the front-drive B250 and the all-wheel drive B250 4MATIC. The engine is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Fuel consumption ratings are 9.2/6.6 L/100 km (city/highway) for front-drive models, and 10.0/7.5 with the AWD.
Standard features include electric power steering and parking brake, 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, heated side mirrors, ambient lighting, heated front seats, "artico" leather upholstery, keyless start, air conditioning, manual front seat adjustments, Nappa leather-trimmed steering wheel, attention assist, collision prevention assist plus, rain-sensing wipers, and run-flat tires.
A premium package adds a backup camera, blind spot assist, active parking assist, panoramic sunroof, "COMAND" online navigation with MB apps, automatic climate control, black roof liner, and smartphone integration.
A versatility option package brings a garage door opener, auto-dimming rearview and driver's side mirrors, 12-way power driver's seat with lumbar, power-folding side mirrors, folding front passenger seatback, folding tables for rear-seat passengers, and luggage nets in the passenger footwell and on the front seatbacks.
Stand-alone options include satellite radio, LED headlights, intelligent keyless entry, and active parking assist.
Prices start at $31,700 for the B250, and $34,000 for the 4MATIC AWC variant.
