History/Overview

Introduced in 2019, the Lexus UXh is a subcompact luxury crossover that serves as the brand’s entry-level model. While it was initially offered with gas and hybrid powertrains, Lexus last year made the UXh hybrid-only to align with its Toyota parent company’s renewed focus on electrification.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

The Lexus UXh gets a few updates for 2023. One is a larger optional touchscreen; there’s a new F Sport Design package, and F Sport Series 1 and 2 packages now include an active variable suspension; finally, Lexus has improved the car’s structural rigidity.

Available Trims

The UXh comes in a single trim to which you can add a number of option packages. Power is from a 2.0L gas engine that works with electric motors to provide hybrid performance and all-wheel drive traction.

Standard Features

The UXh comes with passive keyless entry, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights with washers, a sunroof, and heated side mirrors. Inside, there’s a six-speaker stereo, wireless phone integration, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a 7.0-inch gauge display, and dual-zone A/C. You also get heated/ventilated/power-adjustable front seats, nuluxe upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

UXh’s basic safety suite comprises radar cruise control, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, forward collision mitigation, pedestrian/cyclist detection, and lane departure alert with steering assist.

Key Options

The new F Sport Design package leads the UXh’s options, adding LED fog lights/cornering lamps, and F Sport exterior appearance items. An Elegance special edition package gets the LED fog/cornering lights and adds adaptive headlights.

F Sport Series 1 builds on the F Sport Design bundle and adds an upgraded gauge display, F Sport steering wheel and interior trim, active variable suspension, and grained dash trim; it also removes the base model’s ventilated seats.

The Luxury package adds back ventilated seats, and brings automatic park assist, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, hands-free tailgate, power-folding/reverse-tilt mirrors, 10-speaker audio, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

An F Sport Series 2 pack combines the Series 1 and Luxury packages, and adds adaptive headlights.

Fuel Economy

Lexus’s fuel consumption estimates are 5.7/6.2 L/100 km (city/highway).
