Completely redesigned, the all-new Lexus LX 570 replaces the LX 470 of 2007.
The LX 570 is named for its 5.7-litre V8 engine, replacing the previous 4.7-litre V8, which it tops by more than 100 horsepower. It is mated to a new heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission and has a four-wheel electro-hydraulic suspension with Active Height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension. The suspension lowers the chassis by an average of five centimetres for easy entry and exit and resumes its normal height when the vehicle accelerates, and lowers at highway speeds for extra stability. The system also reduces chassis roll, and ensures both on-road comfort and off-road ability.
The LX 570 comes in a single trim line, and includes 20-inch alloy wheels, four-zone automatic climate control, auxiliary rear heater, premium four-disc CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary jack, heated leather seats with ten-way driver and four-passenger power adjustment, driver's memory, 60/40 split-folding heated second-row seats with power recline, 50/50 split removable third-row seat, rear cool box, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, auto up/down on all windows, cargo mat, power tilt and telescopic wood and leather steering wheel, carpet floor mats, pushbutton start, cruise control, power liftgate, garage door opener, clearance and back-up sensor, power-folding auto-dimming mirrors with tilt-down in reverse and integrated turn signals, power flip-out rear side windows, privacy glass, roof rack, power sunroof, towing kit, adaptive front headlamps with washers, fog lamps, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers and rear wiper.

Issue:
This recall is for certain block heater kits installed on certain vehicles or sold as accessories at Toyota or Lexus dealerships.
On certain vehicles, the engine block heater cable may not have enough heat protection and could be damaged by high temperatures. If this happens, the cable could short circuit while plugged in, and cause the wiring to overheat or melt.

Safety Risk:
Engine block heater wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Toyota recommends that you should stop using the engine block heater immediately. Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to disable the engine block heater. For some vehicles, the corrective actions for this recall are under development. For others, a new engine block heater cannot be installed, and the owner will receive a refund of the purchase price of the engine block heater.

On certain vehicles, the seat belt tension sensor wiring of the front passenger occupant classification system could fatigue and break over time. This could result in the front passenger airbag, knee airbag, and passenger seat-mounted side airbag to become deactivated, which in the event of crash, could increase the risk of injury to the occupant. Correction: Dealers will modify or replace the front passenger seat belt assembly as necessary. Note: If the tension sensor wiring were to break it could cause the airbag warning light and the passenger airbag "OFF" indicator to illuminate.

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. An incorrect specification driver frontal airbag or passenger frontal airbag may have been installed during vehicle assembly. In the event of a crash (where frontal airbag deployment is warranted), could result in the airbag not deploying as designed, which would fail to meet the requirements of the standard, and increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the airbag assembly with a correct specification airbag.
