For 2011, changes to the LS460 flagship sedan include the deletion of the variable gear ratio steering and air suspension on the LS460 and LS460L all-wheel drive models. A new Sport Appearance Package on AWD models adds a sport grille and skirt package.
The LS series includes the LS460 RWD, LS460 AWD, and long-wheelbase LS460 L AWD. There is also a hybrid version, the LS600h, covered separately.
All models use a 4.6-litre V8 engine that produces 380 horsepower in rear-wheel drive, and 357 horsepower in all-wheel drive. All use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Features on the LS 460 RWD include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic recirculation mode, Smart Access with pushbutton ignition and wallet-size smart card key, power tilt and telescopic wood and leather-wrapped heated steering wheel with audio controls, auto up/down windows, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic projector-beam headlamps, cruise control, garage door opener, power rear sunshade, advanced parking guidance system, intuitive parking assist, front and rear illuminated vanity mirrors, wood interior trim, 16-way driver and 12-passenger power heated and cooled leather seats, heated rear seats, Escaine headliner, voice-activated navigation system, back-up camera, Bluetooth connectivity, 19-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound six-DVD/MP3 stereo with hard disc drive, XM satellite radio with NavTraffic, USB port, electroluminescent gauges, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, rain-sensing wipers, auto-levelling adaptive xenon headlamps with washers, LED taillamps, fog lamps, power-folding heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, puddle lamps and auto tip-down in reverse, driver and passenger knee airbags, rear seat side airbags, active front head restraints, first-aid kit, and anti-theft alarm.
The LS460 AWD is similarly equipped.
The LS460 L AWD adds four-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable heated and cooled rear seats with single memory setting, power door and trunk closers, power rear door sunshades, leather-trimmed instrument panel, pre-collision system, laminated side glass, water-repellent front door glass, and intelligent high-beam headlamps.
Available options include a Technology or Sport Package on the 460RWD, a Sport Appearance package on the 460AWD, a Technology Package on the 460AWD and 460L, and an Executive Package on the 460L.
