History/Overview
Introduced in 2018, the Lexus LC is the brand’s flagship coupe/convertible model, a two-door exotic-adjacent companion to the full-size LS luxury sedan.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
This year’s LC news is the addition of a limited-availability Inspiration Series trim package that will be offered on just 150 cars throughout North America.
Available Trims
Lexus offers its posh two-door as the LC 500 coupe and convertible, and the LC 500h coupe. LC 500 models use a 5.0L V8 engine and a 10-speed transmission; the LC 500h is a hybrid that matches a 3.5L V6 with electric power and the 10-speed gearbox.
Standard Features
Every LC comes with passive keyless entry, a garage door remote, 13-speaker audio, a 10.3-inch infotainment display, navigation, a heated steering wheel with electric adjustments, and leather upholstery. You also get heated/ventilated/power-adjustable seats, dual-zone A/C, a head-up display, digital gauges, 20-inch wheels, auto-levelling LED headlights, a wiper de-icer, and a glass roof (coupe only).
The LC’s standard safety kit comprises blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intuitive parking assist, forward collision mitigation, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and radar cruise control.
LC 500h coupe adds 21-inch wheels, a carbon-fibre roof, retractable rear spoiler, an active rear differential, an Alcantara headliner and sport seats.
Key options
The LC’s extras are limited to rear performance dampers, and Alcantara/leather upholstery.
Fuel economy
Fuel consumption estimates for the LC 500 coupe are 15.1/9.6 L/100 km (city/highway), while the convertible is rated for 16.0/9.5 L/100 km. The LC 500h coupe’s estimates are 9.0/7.1 L/100 km.
Competition
Shop the Lexus LC against the BMW 8 Series, Audi S7, and Mercedes-AMG’s E 63 coupe.
