Lexus' entry-level IS sedan gains new IS 300 and IS 200t designations for 2016, as well as a new entry-level turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The new models join the IS 350 model that returns for 2016.
The IS 200t's engine is a 2.0L turbo that makes 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and comes matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Next up is the IS 300, which gets a de-tuned version of the 3.5L V6 used in the familiar IS 350. This motor makes 255 hp and 236 lb-ft, and is mated to a six-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive.
IS 350 models are carried over from 2015, with the same 3.5L engine making 306 hp and 277 lb-ft, which also comes with the six-speed and AWD.

Fuel consumption ratings are 10.6/7.2 L/100 km (city/highway) for the IS 200t and 12.6/9.2 for both V6-powered models.
Standard features include intelligent keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, "NuLuxe" seating surfaces, heated front seats, leather-trimmed shifter and steering wheel, 10-way driver and eight-way front passenger seats, eight-speaker stereo with seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, drive mode selector, HID headlights, and LED brake lights.
All three trims can be optioned with a series of three F Sport packages that add sport-oriented ventilated seats, steering wheel, TFT instrument cluster, and body add-ons too all models, and then bring various comfort and convenience items, depending on the package chosen.
There are also Premium, Luxury and Executive packages available on the IS 300 and IS 350.
Pricing starts at $39,450 and ranges up to $54,500 with options selected.
