Redesigned for 2010, the Lexus GX460 undergoes trim changes for 2011. Previously offered as the Premium and Ultra Premium, trim lines are now the GX460, an available Premium Package on that model, and the Ultra Premium.
The GX460 uses a 4.6-litre V8 with six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. It is body-on-frame architecture and includes full-time four-wheel drive with low range and Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) for on-road ride and true off-road capability. Seating is three-row. It is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, a model not sold in Canada.
Features on the GX460 include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, CD/MP3 surround sound stereo, Bluetooth connectivity, XM satellite radio, eight-way power heated and ventilated leather seats, driver?s side memory, 40/20/40 split-folding second-row seats, power-folding 50/50 split-folding rear bench seat, auto up/down windows, privacy glass, back-up camera, electroluminescent gauges, LED multi-information display, simulated woodgrain trim, cargo cover, Smart Key system with pushbutton start, sliding front centre console box, overhead console, floor mats, silver-painted roof rails, power sunroof, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, rear trunk chrome trim, four- and seven-pin trailer wiring harness, illuminated running boards, rain-sensing wipers, wiper de-icer, rear washer/wiper, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, LED taillights, driver and passenger knee airbags, front tow hook, first-aid kit, locking glovebox, and tire pressure monitoring system.
The available Premium Package adds three-zone automatic climate control, 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, clearance and back-up sensor, voice-activated hard disc drive navigation system, auto-levelling xenon headlamps, automatic high beam feature, power-folding auto-dimming mirrors, wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and African Bubinga wood trim.
The Ultra Premium builds on the Premium Package and adds heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, dual-screen rear seat DVD entertainment system, semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, heated middle row outboard seats, wide-view front and side monitor system, illuminated scuff plates, adaptive front lighting system, headlamp washers, pre-collision system, driver monitoring system and lane departure alert.
