For 2010, the Lexus GS lineup receives new standard features of whiplash-reducing front head restraints, integrated XM satellite and a USB port. All vehicles with navigation systems are upgraded to a next-generation unit. The GS 460 adds a standard rear spoiler and navigation system, while its Ultra Premium option package adds several new features. The GS 450h Hybrid gets a slight facelift with a new grille and wheel design, and receives a rear spoiler, rear seat side airbags, navigation system, intuitive parking system and premium stereo system as standard equipment.
The GS is available as the GS 350, with 3.5-litre V6 and six-speed automatic transmission, in rear- or all-wheel drive; as the GS 460, with 4.6-litre V8, eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive; and as the 450h hybrid, which uses a 3.5-litre V6 and the company’s Hybrid Synergy Drive with CVT, in rear-wheel drive.
Features on the GS 350 include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic recirculation mode, Smart Access with pushbutton ignition, power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, power sunroof, auto up/down windows, auto-dimming rearview mirror, compass, cruise control, premium illuminated entry system, garage door opener, privacy glass, wood interior trim, ten-way power heated perforated leather seats, driver’s side memory, floor mats, six-CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, XM satellite radio, electroluminescent gauges, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, auto-levelling xenon headlamps, fog lamps, water-repellant door glass, variable intermittent wipers, auto-folding mirrors with integrated turn signals, puddle lamps and auto tilt-down in reverse, anti-theft alarm, and first-aid kit.
The GS AWD adds adaptive headlamps with washers, and rain-sensing wipers.
The GS 460 adds 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive variable suspension, rear spoiler, wallet-size smart key, heated and ventilated front seats, wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, navigation system, backup camera, and electronic controlled braking.
The GS 450h adds power rear sunshade, intuitive parking assist, 14-speaker Mark Levinson premium sound system, and rear seat side airbags.
