History/Overview
The Evoque issued in a new direction for Range Rover. While still capable, this one was clearly aimed at a fashion-conscious buyer. It even offered a convertible for a few years. This model, the second generation, was introduced last year. It has fewer configurations, but a fresher style, and it moves the game on from the original.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
All-new just last year, the Evoque gets a new infotainment system as standard this year. It also offers a new 3D-view camera.
Available Trims
Land Rover offers the Range Rover Evoque in S and SE, as well as R-Dynamic SE and HSE. All use the same 2.0L turbo-four making 246 hp badged as P250. All-wheel drive is standard, as is a nine-speed automatic.
Standard Features
S offers 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and tinted glass outside, as well as heated power-fold mirrors. Leather seats come included with 12-way power adjust and heating up front. The leather steering wheel is also heated. The infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio. Driver assistance includes front and rear parking aids, lane keep assist, emergency braking, and 3D surround-view camera.
SE adds 20-inch wheels as well as a larger 10-inch touchscreen and a digital display gauge cluster. It also has upgraded LED headlights.
R Dynamic adds unique exterior trim and wheels while HSE adds perforated leather seats with 14-way adjustment. It also has a Meridian sound system and high beam assist as well as automatic wipers.
Key Options
Options on all include more driver assistance features including blind spot and adaptive cruise, a dynamic handling pack with adaptive dampers, Convenience pack with gesture tailgate, power-adjust steering column, and keyless entry. A Technology pack adds wireless device charging, a second touchscreen, camera mirror, and head-up display.
Fuel economy
Fuel economy for the 2021 Evoque is 11.9 L/100 km city, 8.8 highway.
Competition
The Range Rover Evoque faces off against the likes of the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 as well as Audi's Q3, the Lincoln Corsair, and the Cadillac XT4.
