Introduced in 2020, the current Land Rover Discovery Sport is a more affordable relative of the larger Discovery model. It is Land Rover’s least-expensive seven-seat model, and indeed one of the least costly luxury seven seaters from any automaker.

For 2022, the Disco Sport, as this model is known casually, is unchanged.
Available Trims
Land Rover offers the Disco Sport in SE trim, and a trio of R-Dynamic models: S, SE and HSE. All are powered by a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine, a nine-speed transmission, and AWD.
Standard Features
The Discovery Sport SE comes with auto-levelling LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, 20-inch wheels, passive keyless entry, a power tailgate, and power-folding side mirrors with driver’s side auto dimming. Inside, there’s a six-speaker stereo, 12-way power/heated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone A/C, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a digital gauge cluster, 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, and wireless phone charging.
SE’s driver assistance kit comprises traffic recognition, blind spot assist, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, a rear traffic monitor, and forward collision mitigation.
R-Dynamic models start by adding a heated steering wheel with perforated leather, and S models trade down to 18-inch wheels.
Finally, HSE models get 14-way front seats, and a 12-speaker stereo.
Key Options
Third-row seats can be added on their own, or as part of a family package that also brings a panoramic sunroof. A convenience pack gains an activity key and electric steering wheel adjustments; a cold climate pack gets a heated windshield and headlight washers.
Fuel Economy
Land Rover estimates the Disco Sport’s fuel consumption at 12.7/10.0 L/100 km (city/highway).

Land Rover’s prime competitors for the Discovery Sport are the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Porsche Macan, Volvo XC60, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Jaguar E-Pace, Acura RDX, Lexus NX, Infiniti QX50, Cadillac XT5, Lincoln Corsair, and Buick Envision.
