The 2014 edition of Kia Sportage gets a mild restyle that includes a new front grille and new
wheel designs. It also comes with an improved base 2.4L engine with direct-injection (max
output increases to 182 horsepower). New suspension dampers improve both handling and ride
quality. New options include an Infinity audio system, HID headlights, LED taillights and a new
navigation system. There's also a new top-line SX Luxury trim.
Here's a extract from an Autos.ca review. written by Paul Williams, of a 2013 Kia Sportage SX:
"The Kia Sportage is the compact SUV of the group, and along with the Optima sedan, it’s
arguably the most dramatically styled vehicle in the Kia lineup. Aerodynamic and a bit
aggressive in appearance, the Sportage looks fast and competent; its high waist, purposeful
grille, and slim, dark-tinted windows adding notes of menace to the mix."
The Sportage uses a naturally-aspirated 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine in LX, EX and EX Luxury
trim, and a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder in the SX. The LX uses a six-speed manual

The LX with manual transmission is front-wheel drive only. The LX with automatic transmission

CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary and USB ports, Sirius satellite radio, steering wheel-mounted
audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and tilt steering wheel. The automatic-equipped model
also includes roof rails, illuminated vanity mirrors and an Eco-Minder indicator.
The EX adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED daytime running
