The 2.4-litre four-cylinder adds gasoline direct injection, and its available six-speed manual transmission is discontinued. Trim levels are simplified from 23 to 11 trims, and new features are added to specific ones. The Sorento is available with a choice of two engines: a 2.4-litre four-cylinder or 3.5-litre V6. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission. The LX and LX V6 comes in front- or all-wheel drive; all others are all-wheel drive. All LX and EX models have two rows of seats, but the LX-V6 and EX-V6 Luxury can be optioned with a third row of seats for seven-passenger seating. The SX comes strictly with three rows. Features on the LX include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, fog lights, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, privacy glass, front and rear mud guards, roof rails, variable intermittent wipers, rear wiper, front wiper de-icer, heated cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat with fold-down armrest, black woodgrain interior accents, keyless entry, Eco minder, auto up/down driver’s window, CD/MP3 stereo, Sirius satellite radio, USB and auxiliary input, iPod cable, Bluetooth connectivity, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, trip computer, illuminated vanity mirrors, locking glovebox, rear cargo under-floor storage compartment, automatic headlamps, hill assist control, rear parking sensors and active front head restraints. The LX-V6 adds pre-wiring towing package, smart key with pushbutton start, and auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass. The EX builds on the LX and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated leather seats, eight-way power driver’s seat, deluxe door scuff, smart key with pushbutton start, UVO infotainment system, rearview camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, cargo net and cargo cover. The EX-V6 adds pre-wiring towing package. It can be optioned with a power panoramic sunroof. The EX-V6 Luxury adds power panoramic sunroof, power-folding mirrors, rear spoiler, ventilated driver’s seat, two-position driver’s side memory, power passenger seat, mood lighting, premium stereo, navigation system, and heated steering wheel. The SX adds 18-inch chrome-finish wheels, LED taillights, body-colour bumpers and mouldings, sport grille with chrome garnish, 50/50 split-folding third-row seat, third-row heating and cooling, carbon fibre interior accents, alloy sport pedals, garage door opener, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
