For 2006, the Kia Sedona minivan is all-new. The company has not yet announced full features and equipment, but specifications show that the new model is larger and more powerful than the 2005 minivan it replaces.
The new Sedona uses a 3.8-litre V6, which replaces the 3.5-litre V6 of 2005, with a jump of 49 horsepower and 35 lb-ft of torque. The sole transmission is a five-speed automatic. Chassis features include front MacPherson struts with coil springs and anti-roll bar, multi-link rear suspension with struts and coil springs, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, standard anti-lock brakes, optional electronic stability control, and 16-inch steel wheels (on the LX trim line) or 17-inch alloy wheels (on the EX).
Standard or available features on the 2005 that should be expected to carry over into 2006 include heated mirrors, front and rear air conditioning, power windows, dual sliding doors, privacy glass, rain-sensing wipers, power driver and passenger seats, leather interior, heated seats, roof rack, and power sunroof.
