The Kia K900 is Kia's luxury flagship sedan. It's one that has managed to stay under the radar, but that doesn't mean it's not good. This is a car that tries to offer Lexus LS luxury for Kia pricing, but ends up closer to offering Hyundai Genesis luxury for Kia pricing. It has a massive interior, is loaded with features, and has excellent build quality. It's no corner carver, but that's not what most full-size luxury sedan buyers want. Next to a Lexus GS, Acura RLX, or even a Volvo S80 it looks like a bargain. The K900 is unchanged for 2017.
The K900 is a rear-wheel drive sedan, and is available with either a 3.8L V6 or a 5.0L V8 engine. The V6 produces 311 hp and 293 lb-ft, while the V8 speeds you along with 420 hp and 376 lb-ft. All models have an eight-speed automatic. There are three trim levels, with the base K900 getting HID headlights, 18-inch alloys, dynamic damping, automatic lights and wipers, with water repelling door glass. The front seats are heated and ventilated with heat for the rear seats as well. There is three-zone climate control, push button start, a power rear sunshade, and a Lexicon 17-speaker audio system with navigation. The dashboard is a 12.3-inch digital cluster with info screens. V6 Premium trim adds adaptive headlights, a panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather seats, power headrests, a heated steering wheel, and real wood trim. It also adds active safety features like blind spot warning with cross traffic alert and lane guidance. Top trim V8 Elite adds 19-inch wheels, power close doors, LED headlights, and quilted leather seats with ventilation for the rear seats along with power recline. There is also a surround view camera system.
The V6 K900 models are rated for 13.9 L/100 km city and 9.2 highway. V8 cars get 15.6/10.6.
