NEW FOR 2015:
- Standard XK model discontinued
- Red brake calipers and metal pedals now standard on XKR
- Dynamic Pack available on XKR
For Jaguar enthusiasts, 2015 marks a sad year: the demise of the XK grand touring coupe and convertible. After a two-generation production run lasting 18 years, the XK nameplate is relegated once again to the history books. We doubt that too many tears will be shed ? prospective buyers are likely to be too busy fawning over the sexy new F-Type Coupe.
For its final year in production, Jagaur Canada has dropped the naturally aspirated XK from its lineup, making the supercharged XKR the entry level model. It gains red brake calipers and aluminum pedals as standard, and can be equipped with a new Dynamic Package that adds XKR-S inspired suspension and bodywork, plus a higher top speed. The mighty XKR-S, once a limited-edition model, returns as a fixture topping the range. Both XKR and XKR-S receive 5.0-litre supercharged V8s, making 510 and 550 hp, respectively. A six-speed automatic is standard.
Features on the XKR Coupe include 20-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control with automatic speed limiter, adaptive dampers, electric parking brake, LED taillamps, rear fog light, power-folding auto-dimming rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals and puddle lamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, washers and automatic leveling, front and rear parking assist, metal pedals, red brake calipers, Aero bodykit, rear spoiler, JaguarDrive Control with winter and dynamic modes, active rear differential, quad exhaust tailpipes, auto-dimming rearview mirror, auto up/down windows, trip computer with message centre, proximity key with push-button start, garage door opener, 16-way power driver and passenger Performance seats with heating and ventilation, three-position driver and passenger memory, heated leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, front and rear premium carpet mats, suedecloth headliner, six-disc CD/MP3 stereo with USB and auxiliary input, satellite radio, Bowers & Wilkins 525-watt sound system, Bluetooth, and navigation system.
XKR Convertible adds a power top with aluminum tonneau cover, and rollover protection system.
The XKR-S Coupe adds unique 20-inch alloy wheels, performance suspension tuning, unique exterior styling, leather headliner, and three available exclusive interiors.
