NEW FOR 2012: - New XKR-S coupe - XK and XKR receive styling and interior upgrades - New XKR Dynamic Pack - Optional performance seats - Warranty decreased to 4 yrs/80,000 km For 2012, the Jaguar XK lineup adds the new XKR-S, a 550-horsepower coupe capable of 300 km/h and zero-to-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. It uses the XKR’s supercharged engine but with revised fuel mapping and active exhaust, and with revised suspension and active differential. The XKR-S’ suspension changes can be optioned to the XKR as part of the new Dynamic Pack, and its performance front seats can be added as an option to the XKR. The XK and XKR receive styling changes, including slimmer headlamps with LED turn signals and running lights, larger grille, new bumper and revised deck lid. The XKR is now also further differentiated from the XK by black detailing on its mesh grilles. Interior changes include soft-feel paint on the switches, gloss black finish on the centre console, new heated multifunction steering wheel, and blue halo illumination and ambient lighting. The warranty, which was increased to 5-years/80,000 km for 2011, is back to 4-years/80,000 km. Available as a coupe or convertible, the lineup includes the XK, with 5.0-litre V8, and the XKR, with supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The XKR-S is a coupe only and uses a higher-performance version of the supercharged V8. All models use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. The convertible includes a power top with aluminum tonneau cover, and rollover protection system. The XKR models add JaguarDrive Control with winter and dynamic modes, active differential control, active front lighting, quad exhaust tailpipes, and contrasting seat stitching. The XKR-S adds 20-inch alloy wheels, red-painted brake calipers, unique exterior styling, 16-way performance seats, leather headliner, Jaguar-embossed stainless steel pedals and three available exclusive interiors.
