NEW FOR 2010:
- Redesigned model
- New V8 engines
- XKR adds electronic differential
Redesigned for 2010, the Jaguar XK and XKR have a new front end, LED taillights, and new lower rear valance. Inside, the models use the rotary gear selector from the XF, and standard heated and cooled seats and 525-watt Bowers & Wilkins speaker system. The biggest change is to the engines: the 4.2-litre V8 engines are replaced with direct-injection, naturally-aspirated or supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engines.
Available as a coupe or convertible, the lineup includes the XK, with 5.0-litre V8, and the XKR, with supercharged 5.0-litre V8. Both use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode.
Features on the XK models include 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control with automatic speed limiter, electric parking brake, LED taillamps, rear fog lamps, power-folding auto-dimming rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals and puddle lamps, rain-sensing wipers, automatic bi-xenon headlamps with cornering lights, washers and automatic levelling, front and rear parking assist, rear spoiler, auto-dimming rearview mirror, auto up/down windows, trip computer with message centre, keyless entry and start, garage door opener, 16-way power driver and passenger heated and cooled soft-grain leather sport seats, three-position driver and passenger memory, heated leather-wrapped wheel, front and rear premium carpet mats, "suede-cloth" headliner, six-CD/MP3 stereo with USB and auxiliary input, Sirius satellite radio, Bowers & Wilkins 525-watt sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and navigation system. The convertible includes a power top with aluminum tonneau cover, and rollover protection system.
The XKR models add JaguarDrive Control with winter and dynamic modes, active differential control, active front lighting, quad exhaust tailpipes, and contrasting seat stitching.
