NEW FOR 2011: - All-new model - New warranty coverage Having been temporarily discontinued for 2010, the Jaguar XJ returns for 2011 as an all-new model. It features all-new engines, new body structure and styling, and comes in regular or long-wheelbase configuration. As with all 2011 Jaguar models, the XJ range features new warranty coverage. All models come standard with Jaguar Platinum Coverage, which covers five years or 80,000 km of scheduled maintenance, including no-cost replacement of basic wear-and-tear items such as brake pads and discs, wiper blades, and oil and brake fluid changes. The new-vehicle warranty coverage is increased from 4 years/80,000 km to 5 years/80,000 km. The XJ comes with a choice of three engines. The XJ (regular wheelbase) and XJL (long-wheelbase) use a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8. The XJL Supercharged uses a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that makes 470 horsepower, while the XJ Supersport and XJL Supersport use a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that produces 510 horsepower. All use a six-speed automatic transmission that features Jaguar’s signature rotary dial gear selector, which rises out of the console when the ignition is turned on. Features on the XJ include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED tail lamps, chrome exhaust finishers, automatic xenon headlamps, power trunk lid, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding auto-dimming heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, blind spot monitor, front and rear parking aid, tire pressure monitoring system, 16-way driver and 12-way passenger heated and cooled perforated leather seats, heated rear seats, auto up/down windows, panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, heated three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control with automatic speed limiter, garage door opener, illuminated vanity mirrors, puddle lamps, keyless entry with pushbutton start, CD/DVD stereo with touch screen and XM satellite radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, and navigation system. The long-wheelbase models add four-zone automatic climate control, illuminated rear vanity mirrors, rear business trays, electric rear sunshade, and manual rear side window sunshades. The Supercharged model builds on the XJ and adds 20-inch alloy wheels, four-zone automatic climate control, Active Differential Control, electric rear window sunshade, premium headliner, 20-way driver and passenger electric seat adjustment, front seat massage function, and premium Bowers & Wilkins 1200-watt stereo. The Supersport adds full leather interior, three-spoke heated wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
