NEW FOR 2014:
- New limited-edition XFR-S high-performance model
- XF 3.0 and XFR receive E85 fuel capability
- New and revised option packages
After rolling out a new entry-level engine aimed at attracting economy-minded consumers, 2014 sees Jaguar focus its attention on the opposite end of the spectrum. Although it already has the XFR performance sedan in its range, there’s a new XFR-S model which boasts a rampant 550-horsepower V8 engine under its hood.
The XFR-S isn't just an XFR with more power – it also gets a new aero bodykit that slashes lift by 68 percent, a quicker-shifting version of the ZF eight-speed automatic, plus track-oriented calibration for its suspension and electronic rear differential. Wider wheels and tires, exclusive paint options, and plenty of R-S badges round out the improvements on this limited-run machine. Jaguar will cap availability of this special M5 and E63-trumping sedan at 20 units.
Elsewhere, the XF range receives tweaks to its available packages. The Vision Pack offer adaptive front headlights and automatic high-beams, plus blind-spot monitoring and auto-dimming exterior mirrors.
